Layout & fit
Measure, mark, cut, and fit so the piece is square and plumb before it gets welded.
Shop job at Dillon's Welding. You layout, cut, fit, weld, grind, and finish custom iron, then help install it. This is not a production-line welder seat.
We build stairs, handrails, gates, fences, mailboxes, and one-off iron in our Nashville shop. A fabricator here takes a drawing or a field measurement and turns it into a finished piece: layout, cut list, fit-up, weld, grind, and paint prep.
Some days you are on a job site setting what you built. Shop hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3:30 PM. You can apply below or walk in during those hours and ask for Dillon.
Shop sense, not just a weld cert. We need someone who can square a frame, read a tape, and catch a bad fit before the first weld.
Ornamental iron helps. Stairs, rails, and gates are most of the work. Structural and misc metal is in the mix too.
A resume is optional. Answer the questions. Photos of work you have built help more than a one-page resume.

Run clean beads, then grind and prep so the iron is ready for paint or powder coat.
Load the truck, set the work on site, and make it right on the customer's property.
